Get answers to common questions about Dermaplane Add-On Treatment.

Yes, when performed by our licensed estheticians using sterile blades and professional technique. We assess sensitivity beforehand, adjust pressure, and may recommend a patch test. Mild redness can occur but typically resolves within hours.

The add-on typically takes 10–20 minutes, depending on skin area and condition. It can be combined with your scheduled facial without significantly extending appointment time.

Dermaplaning removes vellus hair and dead skin cells but does not permanently prevent hair regrowth. Peach fuzz typically grows back within weeks at the same fine texture; repeat treatments maintain results.

For most clients we recommend dermaplaning every 3–6 weeks to maintain smooth texture and support ongoing results. Frequency may vary with individual hair growth and skin sensitivity.

We may avoid dermaplaning over active, inflamed acne or open lesions to prevent irritation and infection. For acne-prone skin, your esthetician will assess and may recommend alternatives until breakouts calm.

Avoid direct sun, exfoliating acids, and retinoids for 48–72 hours; use a gentle cleanser, broad-spectrum SPF, and hydrating serums. Keep skin moisturized and follow your esthetician’s product recommendations to minimize sensitivity.
